You can use it for a day look or a night look depending on how smokey you want to make it. I also been looking the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 HR Foundation (review here) . I've been breaking out and this does a really good job covering and it lasts all day!

Make Up Look: Classic Cat Liner and Pink Lip

Hello Everyone!

I am a huge fan of bold eyeliners from bright colored liners to dramatic cat eyes, I love it all. Today, I wanted to show you a cat liner look I been loving lately. I adore having a really natural eye base with a bold thick liner and a light pink lip. I think it looks really girly and effortless. The products I used are Benefit Gimme BrowsStila In The Light Palette (Bare all over the lid with Bliss in the crease and Bubbly in the inner corner), Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in Blackest Black with a Tarte double ended eyeliner brushRimmel ScandalEYES in NudeMake Up Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara and Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 17. I hope you like this look!

Let me know how you feel about cat liners and what type of liner you like to use for it!

Review: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Foundation

Hello Everyone!

It is impossible for me to go into Sephora and come out empty handed. About two weeks ago, I stepped into Sephora and came out with the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Foundation. I needed a new winter foundation and I was looking for one with more coverage when I came by this one. It claims to be a full coverage, last 12 hours, be buildable and blendable. I was excited to see if it lives up to the claims.

I have it in the color light medium sand. This is a perfect match for my skin tone which  made me really happy! It comes in 16 different colors. When it comes out of the tube it looks really thick however, it feels really light on the face and is really easy to work with. I apply a little on the back of my hand and then use my Real Techniques Expect Face Brush to apply and blend it on my face. It really is very blendable and nice to work with. I wouldn't say this is a full coverage foundation. It is more of a medium coverage. It covers mostly everything but underneath my eyes, around my nose and my chin, I still use a concealer. It is buildable though and you can definitely get it to a full medium coverage. Below is one picture of me without the foundation and the one next to it is one with just the foundation on. You can clearly see it is a very even medium coverage foundation.

Left: without foundation                                                       Right: with foundation

I love the finish of the foundation. It is matte but not overly matte. It looks really natural. My powder, bronzer and concealer all sit really well on this foundation as well. I haven't worn it for 12 hours straight yet but with a powder, I have gone around 8 hours without needing to retouch. It is honestly a lovely foundation and I highly recommend it to everyone!

What foundation have you been loving?

June Favorites

Hi Guys!

I honestly can not believe how quickly June flew by; I swear yesterday it was still March! Just like every other month, I am going to be showing you my favorites of June! I haven't been using too much make up this month because I work outdoors and at pools and I just like to be natural at work. However, when I have used make up this month, I have really found great products that I love. So here they are!

Earrings from Francesca's:

I don't think I've ever worn these without getting a compliment on how pretty they are! They are these lovely big studs with a reflective stone in them that has a light blue base and also can look purple, pink and dark blue. They were $12.95 and I got them last year from Francesca's. If you guys don't know already, Francesca's is my holy grail jewelry store. I honestly think 95 percent of the jewelry I own is from there. They are great options and all their products are great quality. I just think they are so fun and summery. Yup!  I can't think of what else to say besides I love them.

Maybelline 24 hr Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk:

I rediscovered the Maybelline 24 hr Color Tattoos this month and the pomegranate punk has been my most worn color out of the ones I own. There are so many options with this product. I can use it as a base for other colors or build it up to get a beautiful plum color with gold shimmer or I can use a little bit of it as a touch of color. It doesn't crease and lasts for a solid 8 hours! I did a full review on this product that you can read [here].

Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm:

The Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm has been a necessity product for me so far this summer. I always get sun spots on my face ( circle patches of lighter skin from the sun) so it is really important for me to have SPF on my face at work. However, I don't like putting on actual sunscreen on my face because it is always too thick and greasy. The Naked Skin Beauty Balm has SPF 20 in it and goes on light and easy. It also gives me a nice glow. I have the travel sized one just because I wasn't sure if I was going to like it and I am going to buy a full bottle once I run out.

Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Oil SPF 6:

Along the same lines as the previous product, I like my tanning oil to have SPF in it. I know SPF 6 isn't a lot but I am naturally pretty tan and I don't really burn so SPF 6 is enough for my body ( besides my face which I use 20).  I really like the Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil because it isn't overall thick and it doesn't make me feel stick. Also it doesn't attract sand to me at the beach like other tanning oils do. If you are looking for a tanning oil, I highly recommend this one.

Tarte Beauty and the Box in Secret Garden:

This is my current favorite quad of shadows. Tarte has been a really big hit with me lately and this is one of products that started that trend. The four colors in this are: Sprout, Goldenrod, Fern and Vine. They are really pigmented and are beautiful colors. I did a full review on this that you can read [here].

Rimmel Lipstick in 642 Nude Delight:

My last favorite of this month is this Rimmel lipstick in Nude Delight. We all know my love for Rimmel; it is my favorite drugstore brand. This lipstick is a very nice nude color with a hint of shimmer. I've been wearing it on an everyday bases just because its subtle but still gives good color and lasts for about 5 hours without retouches. Rimmel overall has really good lipsticks especially the Kate Moss ones and if you are looking for cheap lipsticks but good quality, these are for you.

What have you been loving this month?

OOTD and FOTD June 20th 2013

Hi Guys!

So yesterday I had one of my best friend's graduation. She is the last one of all my good friends to graduate high school and it's so weird! She is always been like our baby girl and now she is a graduate! Time flies by so fast, its crazy. Here is my outfit and make up for graduation.

My outfit:
Top: Blue Sky
Skirt: Forever 21
Wedges: TJ Maxx
All Jewelry: Francesca's

This Top was in a haul I did last month and I could not wait to wear it. However, it took my a while to find the perfect time to wear this beautiful lacy light blue top. I decided to pair it with my gray skirt from Forever 21 because I liked how the top looked on a gray bottom better than on a black bottom. The wedges were a gift from my mom when I went away to University last fall and they are just so cute and summery. For jewelry, Francesca's is the way to go. They always have great options and all of their jewelry is just so cute! I honestly don't think I've gotten jewelry from anywhere else in a long time.

On my Face:
Prime Time Foundation Primer by Bare Minerals
Wake Me Up Concealer in Classic Beige by Rimmel
Fit Me Foundation in 245 by Maybelline
Baked Bronzer Duo in Honey Heat by Sephora
Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in 120 Pink Rose by Rimmel
Stay Matte Pressed Powder by Rimmel
Eyebrow Kit in Medium by Elf
Beauty and the Box in Secret Garden by Tarte
Long Lasting Eyeshadow in Black Flame by Sephora
They're Real! by Benefit
BAD Gal Lashes by Benefit (lower lashes)
Eyelash Curler by Revlon
Lasting Finish Kate Moss in 17 by Rimmel

So rumor has it that Google Reader is going away so upset! But be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' to keep up with my posts!

Review: Tarte Beauty and the Box (Secret Garden)

Hi Guys!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I am in between moving houses and with work I have been really busy but don't worry I am back on top of my blogging game! Today I decided to review an eyeshadow quad that I have really been enjoying this summer : Tarte Beauty and the Box in Secret Garden. It has four beautiful colors : Sprout, Goldenrod, Fern and Vine. It has been in my everyday make up for about a few weeks now and it is lovely. Tarte has really been growing on me the past few months! I have been loving that they are natural and still such amazing quality.

Lets talk about the packaging! All of Tarte's Beauty and the Box eyeshadows come in these cute little square boxes with patterns on them. The Secret Garden one is a light purple with a giant purple, pink and white flower on it. There packaging is made out of cardboard and I know a lot of people freak out over cardboard boxing but I've had mine for over a month and it is still going strong. It is also part of their ego friendly, natural vibe which I think is great! All four colors are right next to each other on the box but that doesn't bother me because each color is wide enough for a brush to fit perfectly.

The Colors! The four colors in this are: Sprout, Goldenrod, Fern and Vine. It is a green and gold set of colors and I think they do an amazing job enhancing brown eyes! The first thing I thought of when I saw these colors was Ivy from Batman. She always wore golds and greens and Uma Thurman as Ivy looked amazing! The pigment of these colors is nice. It isn't as amazing but it isn't bad either. It can take a little bit of building however their lasting power makes up for it. They actually last me all day long and never seem to crease. I'm not much of an eyeshadow primer person because I've never had a creasing problem and putting on two primers just seems like too much work for me ( I'm lazy). Fern is my favorite out of the four. I just think it's the perfect green for shadows.

The next one I really want is the Envoke the Smoke which looks like a great quad for a nice smokey purple eye!

Have you tried any of Tarte's Beauty and the Box? If so,which one your favorite?

Tarte Clay Eyeliner in Plum

Hi Guys!
So recently i did a little mall haul and one of the items I bought was a Tarte Clay liner in Plum. I absolutely love it! It was $24.00 but so worth it. It comes with a two sided eye liner brush for free which by itself sells for $22.00 so I think it's a complete steal!

The color is this beautiful deep purple with a little bit of shimmer. Personally, I think this color does amazing things to brown eyes! I feel like it really just makes them pop. However, it would look amazing on any eye color.

It is really easy to use. I hate having gel liners that are just too thick. This one goes easily on the brush and easily from the brush to the eye lid. It has started to become my everyday eyeliner just because it looks good all by itself! Just a little bit on the top  of the lid with a wing, a little underneath and mascara and I'm ready to go. It is also very highly pigmented and lasts all day! I can not think of one thing I don't love about it.

This is my first ever Tarte product and I'm so happy with it! I honestly can't wait to try more of their items. Also I really want the Mocha Clay liner too. It is next on my list!
Have you tried any Tarte products? Any you would recommend?
