Vidcon 2013

Hi Guys!

Today, I decided to do a more lifestyle type of post and talk to you guys about my trip to Vidcon! Let me start of by saying it was such an amazing time and a wonderful experience. I was pretty nervous going into it because I wasn't really sure what to expect. It kind of fell somewhere in between what I thought it would be and so much more. I met some of my favorite you tubers but that wasn't my favorite part. My favorite part was all the friends I made and inside look I got at what the youtube community has really become. I think the youtube community is so new and still developing that you can't really pin point a type of person who falls into it and I thought that was great because I made friends with so many people I would've never met otherwise.

Some of the awesome you tubers I met were Alex Goot, Sprinkle of Glitter, Troye Sivan, Tyler Oakley, Mazzi Maz, Fun for Louis, Hannah Hart, Daily Grace, Sam Pepper, Zoella and so many more. My favorite one was definitely Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter. I mean they were all great but Louise was just such a sweetheart and it was awesome to see someone who is so good at blogging and vlogging. I just find her so inspirational because she managed so blog, vlog, be a mom and wife all at the same time. I also met some awesome new friends. I made a few friends from Scotland who had the coolest accents ever, Declan and Julia. A few more friends who are actually from California and honestly they are basically my twins because we all clicked from the moment we met and a few more friends from all over the place. Everyone there was so friendly and you could walk up to anyone at anytime and just start talking. It was definitely a different type of event because depending on where you were or what time of the day it was, you would see or be part of so many different things.

I went to a couple of panel for Tyler Oakley, Jack and Finn and a talk show kind of thing for Tyler and Andy Cohen. The Tyler and Andy Cohen talk show was amazing and so funny! I also went to Skyzone which is basically a place with a million trampolines with a few friends and oh my gosh it was so fun. Also The expo hall had a huge signing area and bunch of stand from different sponsors so we got a lot of free stuff and I got to meet Alex Goot! If you guys don't know who he is, I will link his youtube HERE. He is my favorite singer of all time. I've honestly been fangirling since freshman year of high school. Overall, Vidcon was one of the best experiences I've ever had and I am so glad I went. I am most definitely going to go again next year.

Have you been to a youtube gathering? Would you go to one?
Lots of Love

July Favorites

Hi Guys!

Here are my July Favorites. I know they are a bit late but I was at Vidcon the beginning of this month and I didn't have wifi there! Look out for a post about Vidcon really soon. This month I haven't really tried anything new but there were a few products that really stood out to me. I hope you enjoy!

Real Techniques Setting Brush
Maybelline Color Show in Pacific Blue
Rimmel Lipstick in Nude Delight
NYX Mega shine Lipgloss in Pink Nude
MAC Eyeshadow in Coppering

Real Techniques Setting Brush

Maybelline Color Show in Pacific Blue

Rimmel Lipstick in Nude Delight

NYX Mega shine Lipgloss in Pink Nude

MAC Eyeshadow in Coppering

Left to Right: Rimmel Lipstick Nude Delight, NYX Lipgloss Nude Pink and MAC's Coppering
Real Techniques Setting Brush: I got this little magic worker in the beginning of this month. I didn't really need it but for some reason I just really wanted it and I'm so glad I got it. As some of you may know I hate concealer brushes. I think they are too small and never blend my concealer in well. I use to use foundation brushes to blend them in but not anymore! This setting brush is the best thing I have ever used to my concealer. Also I use it for highlighting my cheekbones. I use either with a powder highlighter or to blend in Watt's Up by Benefit. This brush has become part of my everyday brush collection.

Maybelline Color Show in Pacific Blue: This nail polish has been on my toes all month. I honestly don't think I have used any other color. It is this really bright summer blue. I apply two layers of the nail polish and a top coat and it lasts at least a week on my toes however, when I use it on my nails it chips really quickly which is a bummer. Overall, I think this is a great summer color. I'm going to pick up another bottle really soon because this is limited edition

Rimmel Lipstick in Nude Delight: This was in my last months favorite and honestly might be in every favorite to come. Rimmel's Nude Delight is a great everyday nude color. It has a little bit of shimmer but is still natural looking. It lasts a good 5 hours without any need of retouching and I find it really moisturizing. I been layering it with my next favorite, NYX Lipgloss in Nude Pink and the two together make such a pretty everyday combination.

NYX Mega shine Lipgloss in Nude Pink: I am not a huge lipgloss fan because I don't like my lip being sticky or my hair getting stuck to my lips. However, this gloss is amazing. It isn't sticky and it lasts a good 4 hours without any need of touch up. My absolute favorite thing about it is the smell! It smells like the fruit punch Capri Sun which remind me so much of elementary school. You can smell it when you apply it however, it doesn't stick around so you're not stuck smelling it all day long. I think this is great but i love apply it with a smell but I'd probably get annoyed if the smell stuck around. I love using this on top of Rimmel's Nude Delight. They are actually the perfect pair.

MAC Eyeshadow in Coppering: Last but not least is my favorite eyeshadow of the month: Coppering by Mac. This is a beautiful orangey copper color with a sheen finish. Just like all Mac shadows, it is super blend able and highly pigmented. A little bit of this color goes a long way. I love wearing it all over the lid and underneath the lower lashes with wood winked in the crease and lots of mascara. It is a great color to make a statement but isn't overpowering. I have used it during the day and at night and I think it looks great and appropriate for both times. Overall, this is definitely making its way up as one of my favorite MAC shadows.

What have you guys been loving this month?

What's in my purse?!

Hi Guys!

I hope you've all have had an amazing beginning of August! I actually just got home today from Vidcon in California and it was absolutely amazing. I am going to be doing a post about it and my July favorites as soon as I possibly can. I hate not having my favorites up yet but the hotel had really bad wifi since so many people were always on it. Never the less, better later than never right? Anyways, I recently got a new purse and I thought it would be fun to share with you what I keep it in. I love these types of posts because I am so nosey. I hope you enjoy!

Purse from Forever 21 for  $29.80

I absolutely love the color of this bag. Red is such a great statement color and I feel like it is appreciate for basically all the seasons. It is also a nice size. It's not too small that nothing fits but it always isn't so big that it hurts your shoulder. It is just perfect for everyday use and it has lots of pockets which is a major plus.

In the front pocket:

In the front pocket, I need the things I can not leave my house without. My car keys which have a bunch of rewards card on them and a few cute keychains including the one that is a shoe. My iPhone 5 which I can not live without. I love how light it is and just everything about it. My case on it (that you can't see) has glitter on the back and is from Amazon. Lastly, is my wallet from Target. This wallet is perfect because it is very slim but still holds all my cards, cash and coins. I use this wallet primarily when I am traveling and don't need all the extra gift cards/ receipts.

In the main pocket:

In the main pocket, I keep everything else. First, I have my planner and multi colored pens. I am huge on keeping a schedule and I would honestly be lost without my planner. I like to color code my work schedule, homework due dates, special occasions and other commitments. Also, I keep blog ideas and everyday to do lists in there. Next, I always have gum or mints on my bag. Who likes bad breath? Yeah, no one. I also keep the nail polish that I currently have on and a top coat in my bag. I have chipped nails and I think they look super unprofessional so I like having it with me for touch ups. Then I have a little ziplock bag of things that could possibly spill or get messy. This included a toothbrush, toothpaste, mouth wash, make up wipes, chap stick and a mirror. You never know when you're going to end up spending the night at a friends or eat something that you just need to brush your teeth after so I like prefer to be safe rather than sorry. Lastly, I have a mini make up bag. In this make up bag, I have BooBoo Zap by Benefit for any pimples, Rimmel Nude Delight lipstick, NYX lipgloss in pink nude, Boi ing concealer by Benefit, Bad Gal Lash by Benefit, Sephora Baked Bronzer Duo with a Kabuki brush, L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Iced Latte and Naked Skin Beauty Balm by Urban Decay. These are the make up products I find that I reapply a lot and could use to do a full make up look if I end up sleeping at a friends.

What do you always need to have in your purse?

Empties #1

Hi Guys!
Today I'm going to do my first empties post! I've been trying to do one of these for a while now but I always ended up forgetting and throwing empty products out. This month I've had a lot of empties and I managed to remember to keep them! I'm going to explain what the product claims to do, whether or not I thought it accomplished it/liked it and if I'm going to repurchase it. I hope you guys enjoy!

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Cleanser
Claims: This Cleanser claims to cleanse to purify pores with real fruit extracts. I got this in a set around March. It came with two washes and oil blotting clothes.
Reaction: I don't think this was anything special about this cleanser. It left my skin feeling clean but that's about it. It does smell good though.
Repurchase:  I am definitely going to finish the other wash in this set however, I will not be repurchases it after because it is an okay cleanser but there are better ones out there.

Neutrogena Oil Free Cleansing Wipes
Claim: These wipes claim to sweep away pore clogging dirt and oils in one simple step with the use of 100% naturally derived pink grapefruit extract. Claims to have no greasy residue, so no need to rinse your face after.
Reaction: Oh my gosh, these smell amazing! Anything grapefruit flavored or scented draws me in. These actually work really well at removing dirt however, they do leave a residue. It isn't a greasy one; it is more of a sticky heavy feeling. I always wash my face after or use a toner.
Repurchase: I will not be repurchasing these. I like my other wipes much better ( Simple make up wipes and Pacifica Coconut Water wipes) and they are cheaper as well.

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub
Claim: This scrubs claims to leave your skin feeling smooth, soft and refreshed. You can use this on the body or the face however, I only use it on my face.
Reaction: This is my favorite scrub at the moment. My skin feels baby soft after using this and it does a great job cleaning out my pores. My full review on it can be found HERE .
Repurchase: YES! I am in love with this and I'm going to buy the big bottle of this next time I am in LUSH.

Fair Trade Honey Shampoo
Claim: This shampoo claims to give lustre, volume and moisturize using full of the power of flowers and honey.
Reaction: I love the smell if this, I find honey smells so yummy! This also made my hair really soft and shiny which I love and it weighted my hair down a good amount which is what I want because my hair gets huge. I also think it is great that this bottle is made from recycled plastic.
Repurchase: Yes, I will be repurchasing it but just not right now. I have a few other shampoos I want to try out but I know I will go back to it because it has become one of my all time favorite shampoos.

Rapid Action Pads
Claim: This claims to visibly reduce pimple size and redness in as little as 4 hours.
Reaction: These pads completely dried out my skin. They are super harsh and an extremely strong medicine smell to them that just wasn't pleasant to use. They might work better with someone who has oily skin or a lot of redness but for me, it was just very drying.
Repurchase: No, I will not be buying these again.

Dry Shampoo
Claim: This claims to instantly refresh your hair by getting rid of oily roots, boost volume and leave your hair feeling clean.
Reaction: I really like this product but not for what it is actually suppose to do. I have really curly hair so wearing my hair second day down doesn't really happen. I use this to dirty up my roots a little bit to make it easier to wear half up and half down in second day hair. It is also really good at getting rid of extra shininess that hairspray can give my hair.
Repurchase: Yes, I will be buying this again. I have this right now in a travel size but I will be getting it in a full bottle soon.

Touch of Sparkle Body Wash
Claim: This body wash claims to  gently cleanse skin while leaving it moisturized after the shower.
Reaction: I thought this was a great wash. It left my skin feels nice and it smells lovely. It did the job it is meant to do really well and was only like 3 dollars.
Repurchase: Yes, Ive actually already rebought it!

What have you finished lately?

The Skincare Tag

Hi Guys!

I hope you all have been having a good week! In exactly a week, I am going to California for Vidcon and I am so excited. I can't wait to share pictures, outfits and make up looks with you from there! Today, I was lucky enough to be tagged in the Skincare Tag by the lovely Sophie from That's What Sophie Said. Be sure to check out her blog she has amazing posts and beautiful pictures. Here are the questions!

1. Describe your skincare routine in five words.
  Perfect for a lazy girl

2.What's your skin type?
My skin is pretty normal expect in the summer the area around my nose and chin get oily over night so I have to make sure to really wash my face at night and in the morning or else I end up with acne in those area.

3.What's your favorite skincare product?
Over the last few months, I have really been enjoying the LUSH Ocean Salt Scrub. It is meant for face and body but I only use it on my face. My skin feels so soft after and it does an amazing job cleaning out all of my pores. I did a full review on it HERE
Ocean Salt Scrub

4. Top blemish zapper?
I love Benefit's Boo Boo Zap. It is great for those little spots that sneak up on you. It immediately reduces the redness and size of a pimple. Also it doesn't leave any weird smell or residue so it is great for on the go! I keep it in my purse so it is always by me if I need it.

5. Face wipes...yay or nay?
I know a lot of people who don't use make up wipes because they aren't really good for your skin and aren't as affective as cleansing waters however, I am extremely lazy and when I come home from being out spending 20 minutes removing my make up is not something I like to do so using a make up wipe is my savor. I really like the Simple make up wipes and Pacifica coconut water wipes. Both of these are really gentle on the skin and remove all my make up. The Pacifica ones also smell really good and are all natural.

6.Toner...yay or nay?
Toner is a heck yay for me! I adore my LUSH  Eau Roma Water. I apply it after I wash my face or use a make up wipe. I spray it on and wipe it with a cotton ball or pad after. It makes sure that all of my make up is completely off and it leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and hydrated. Also it has rose and lavender in it that are a really comforting smell.

7. High end skincare or High end make up?
I'm going to have to say high end make up just because I own so much more of it. I think because I have pretty normal skin ( knock on wood), I am able to get away with drugstore skincare and LUSH. Also I go through skincare so fast that spending large amount of money seems like a waste.

8. You're in a French pharmacy and can only buy one item, what would it be?
It would 150% percent be Bioderma. The only way to get Bioderma in the states is online which is so frustrating because maybe if I used Bioderma, I would stop using my make up wipes as much. So many  people talk about how amazing it is, I wish I could try it out.

9. Top skincare tip?
I have friends who always buy different face washes when they run out of the one they are currently using. My top advice is to find a good face wash and stick with it. When it comes to face wash, it is all about consistency. Changing which one you use every three weeks isn't going to help your skin get better. It is so important to keep using the same products because they work better the longer you use them. I know its frustrating if you don't see results right away but I would give it at least two bottle before switching it. I love the Neutrogena GrapeFruit Wash. It smells amazing and really helped my skin.

I hope you guys enjoyed this! For this, I tag:
Kallie from But First, Coffee
Zoe from The Caribbean Flower
Megan from Maybe Its Megan Leigh
Andrea from RosyChicc

FOTD: July 20th 2013

Hi Guys!

This is my make up look from last night. I really wanted to share this with you because I used Coppering by Mac and even though it is a beautiful color, it can be kind of hard to wear so I thought I'd share how I wear it!

Products I used:
Bare Minerals Party Time Primer
Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
Benefit Boi-ing Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder
Nars Duo in Laguna and Orgasm
Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze
Mac Eyeshadow in Coppering
Benfit Magic Ink in Black
Benefit They're Real!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in # 17

I started of by priming my face with Bare Minerals Party Time Primer. I apply this with my fingers all over my face. Next I use my Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Toasted Beige. I apply this with a damp beauty blender and make sure I blend it in really well. I use two concealer: Rimmel Wake Me Up in Classic Beige underneath my eyes and Benefit Boi-ing in #3 on any spots I have on my face. I am weird and use a foundation brush to blend my concealers in just because I feel like concealer brushes are too small and I never actually use my foundation brushes for foundation. Next I apply my Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder with a kabuki brush all over my face. Following that, I apply my NARS bronzer in Laguna all over my face with a full face brush by Bare Minerals. This gives a really natural all over bronze color. Using my SOHO blush brush, I apply my NARS blush in Orgasm to my cheeks; a little goes a long way with this product. I don't like eyeshadow primers so instead I use my Maybelline 24 hour Color Tattoo cream shadow in Bad to the Bronze. I use my finger tip for this and blend it all over my lid. Next I take a big eyeshadow brush by SOHO and apply Coppering by Mac all over my lid and into my crease. Then taking a blending brush, I think I used my ELF one, I blend the color up into my brow bone. Following that, I take an angled brush with Coppering on it and apply it to my lower lash line. Using my finger tip, I take Bad to the Bronzer again and apply it into the inner corner of my eye. I then use my Benefit Magic Ink liquid liner and make a "winged" look with my top liner. I adore how dark this liquid liner is. For my lashes, I used my all time favorite They're Real! by Benefit. It is such an amazing mascara for lots of length. Lastly, I use my Kate Moss lipstick in number 17 from Rimmel on my lips.

How do you wearing Copper colored shadows?

OOTD: July 18th 20133

Hi Guys!
I hope you've all been having a good week! I started my summer class this week and I've been working so much. I haven't worm anything cute in so long because I wear tees and shorts to work and my hair is in a bun all the time. However, for class on Thursday I decided to dress up a little bit! Here is my outfit.

What I'm wearing:

Top: My top is from H&M and I got it on sale for 5 dollars! Yes, 5 dollars! It is a long white tank top with sheer little flower designs on it. Also it has a cute gold zipper down the top part of the back.

Bandeau: My bandeau is from American Eagle and I got it last summer for $12.95. My favorite thing about American Eagle bandeaus is that they are true to size so even if you are bustier, you can find one that fits.

Shorts: These shorts are new and I got them from Cotton On. They were $24.99 which isn't too bad! They are high waisted and I just really love the color!

Jewelry: Just like always, all of my jewelry is from Francesca's. I can not begin to explain how much I adore the jewelry there!

Lipstick: This is a new edition to my lipstick collection. It is Impassioned by Mac and I got it for $15.00. I love it! It lasts forever and I just think the color is such a happy summery pink

What have you been wearing this summer?

Lots of Love,
