Dupe Alart: MAC Impassioned and Rimmel Kate Moss 06

Hello Everyone!

 I feel like all bloggers (and girls in general) are always trying to find drugstore products that are similar to  those of high end products. I mean who doesn't love to save a few bucks? I've seen so many NARS Orgasm dupes and MAC Russian Red dupes out in the lovely world of the internet. Dupes are definitely really nice to have around. In April I popped in CVS when Rimmel was buy one, get one free! So of course I had to get myself some Rimmel. I ended up with a ScandalEYES Eye Crayon and a Kate Moss Lipstick in 06. The first time I wore this lipstick, I knew it reminded me a lot of a different lipstick I had. Finally I put the two together and realized that Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 06 is a dupe for MAC Impassioned.

MAC Impassioned in a bit more cool toned than Rimmel 06 but besides that I didn't see much of a difference. I really like the formula of both lipsticks and they are both long wearing. Plus they both smell amazing. If you had checked the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 06, I highly recommend you do!

Spring Lipstick Picks

Hello Everyone! 

Happy Spring! I am so happy it is finally spring, I honestly can not wait to step outside and not feel cold. Being in a spring mood, I decided I would share some lipsticks I look forward to using this spring. I love wearing brighter colors in the spring. A simple natural eye with a bright lips just looks amazing.  I hope you enjoy.

MAC Amplified Lipstick in Impassioned: Hello Barbie pink! This lipstick is a beautiful blue toned hot pink that just glides onto the lips. Amplified is my favorite finish from MAC because it is glossy but not overly shiny. This color is honestly the perfect hot pink that is still wearable. I got this at Nordstorm for 16 dollars.


NYX Matte Lipstick in Nude Diaphane: This lipstick is 100 percent matte but it goes on really smoothly and lasts really well ( about 5 hours if not eating and drinking). This color is a pinky nude. I prefer this to my other favorite nude, Rimmel Nude Delight, during the spring because I feel like the pinky undertone makes it so spring perfect. I got this CVS ( yes! CVS now has NYX yay) for around 5 dollars.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte in 109: Another matte lipstick, this one also lasts a really well around 5 hours and this color is just gorgeous. It is a matte orangy coral and it is quite muted so it is not one of those " in your face" kind of oranges. This is great for a pop of color that is not overwhelming. One thing though, it is a bit drying so make sure to have a good balm underneath it! I got this at Walmart for a little over four dollars!

Maybelline Color Whisper in 55 One Size Fits Pearl: I am really sad that this does not show up in picture as well as it does in person. This is a very glossy, easy to wear baby pink. I love this for lazy days that I don't feel like checking on my lipstick all day. This goes on easy and adds a subtle hint of color. I picked this up at Walgreens for around 8 dollars.

Maybelline Lipstick in 885 Vibrant Mandarin: Last but not least is the brightest of the bunch. Vibrant Mandarin is actually what is sounds like a bright orange color. It glides on really easily and has a shiny finish. This is the lipstick for the days you want your lipsticks noticed. It is a very attention drawing orange color. This goes great with a basic neutral colored outfit. I got this at Walgreens for around 8 dollars.

Top Thirteen of 2013: Face, Eyes and Lips

Hello Everyone!  I can not believe that 2013 is already over! It honestly flew by so fast. Here are my top thirteen  face, eyes and lips products of 2013. I can't wait to see everything that 2014 has to bring. I hope you enjoy!
1) Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: This my everyday "go to" press powder. It does a great job controlling shine and helping my foundation and concealer stay on all day. It is also really affordable. I got mine at CVS for around five dollars and one container of this has lasted me for about six months now!Overall, you get great quality for such a low price.

2) Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer:  I got this from my international swap and oh boy how I wish this was available in the states. Lets start of with the smell: IT SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE. Every girls wish right here. I also really enjoy using this contouring. It isn't only glittery or sparkling so it is perfect for contouring. It also opens up like a book which I think is pretty cool. Bourjois really needs to come over to the states because they have so many great products that I wish I could try!
3) NARS Laguna: It is a very natural bronze color. It has some nice shimmer to it but it isn't overwhelmingly shimmer. The formula of Laguna is probably my favorite thing about it. It goes on so smoothly and easily. It blends really is and never leaves your face looking muddy or heavy. It gives you a healthy glow that isn't shiny. I use it all over my face or to contour my cheekbones! 

4) Rimmel Moisture Renew in Nude Delight: This lipsticks has been in multiple monthly favorites as well as my top three lipsticks of the moment post. Basically this is a perfect everyday nude color. It is easy to wear, long lasting( around 5 hours without retouches if I am not eating or drinking) and very affordable. I picked it up for around five dollars at CVS. It is beautiful nude color with a little bit of shine. I love pairing it with my NYX Mega Shine Gloss in Pink Nude. 

5) NYX Mega Shine Gloss in Pink Nude: This has been my " go to" everyday lip gloss mainly because I love how it looks over Rimmel's Nude Delight.  I also adore the smell of these glosses. They remind me so much of Capri Sun in Fruit Punch. However, the smell doesn't linger around which is great because no one wants to smell fruit punch while working or drinking coffee. Overall, the NYX Mega Shine Glosses are lovely but Pink Nude is my favorite color. This is very affordable I got it from Ulta at around four dollars.

6) Rimmel Wake Me Up in Classic Beige: It took me forever to find this concealer! Walmart was always sold out and Target and Cvs just didn't carry it which made no sense to me. Anyways, I read so many great reviews about it and it lived up to the expectations. I love it for the bags underneath my eyes. I think it does a great job brightening up that area. I have it in Classic Beige. It has been my "go to" concealer this year. I am on my third tube already!
7) Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation by Benefit: This has been my favorite foundation this year. I actually just bought it in my winter shade. It is a medium coverage that lasts all day and does not look cakey. It actually leaves a really nice healthy glow to the face. Plus it has SPF in it which makes it perfect for the hotter months. Honestly, it is very lovely and worth a try. 
8) NYX Powder Blush in Mocha: Mocha is a beautiful rusty rose color. It contains no glitter but it's not completely matte. I find that it gives your cheeks a healthy glow. It is so easy to wear and I really think it would look amazing on any skin tone. It feels very luxurious but have an amazing price tag. I got this little gem at Ulta for around 5 dollars. 
9) Maybelline 24 Hr Color Tattoos by Eye Studio: These eyeshadows are my favorite cream based eye shadows. I own four colors: 35 Tough as Taupe, 50 Edgy Emerald, 30 Pomegranate Punk and Bad to the Bronze. They are really easy to apply by brush or finger ( I prefer to use my fingers) and they blend very nicely. These shadows leave a nice smooth finish that doesn't crease. They are also really nice bases for powder shadows if you want to get a lot of pigment out of the powder shadows. A lot of people compare them to MAC paint pots and since I never owned a paint pot, I can't compare but these are really lovely. 
10) They're Real! Mascara by Benefit: This is my holy grail mascara. It does what I use to use three mascaras to do. It gives amazing length, holds a curl and gives great volume. I love the sleek metallic gray packaging as well. Whenever I wear it, I get so many compliments about how amazing my lashes look.  11) Woodwinked by MAC: This color is a beautiful warm gold color with a bit of shimmer in it. It is probably my favorite MAC color that I own. It looks great in the crease or all over the lid and I love pairing it with Naked Lunch. It is perfect for everyday wear or for a bit of shimmer at night. Honestly, I think this is a shadow every girl should own. It would look amazing on any skin tone. 
12) Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner by Stila: These are my favorite eyeliners for my lower lash line. They come in such amazing colors and they really last forever! I own seven of them and I can honestly say I wear all the colors. They are so water resistant. I have showered with them on and they are still there after! 13) Sleek I Divine Palette in Storm: The packaging is very nice and not cheap feeling at all. It is an all black case with a huge mirror inside. This palette comes with three matte shades (a nude, a medium brown and a black) and nine shimmery shades ( a highlight color, a light brown, a dark brown, a light blue, a dark green, a navy blue, a gold, a rose pink and a dark rose brown color). The colors are amazing for everything from an everyday look to a smokey eye to a pop of color. It is extremely versatile.  They are extremely pigmented and very easily blendable.  The shimmery colors are a bit more pigmented than the matte ones but the matte ones are still very nice. I really wish Sleek was sold in the states!

Crazy about Lipstick

Hi Guys! Today I've decided to a little tag that has been going around called "Crazy about Lipstick." I'm really excited about this because I am obsessed with lipsticks! Lipstick actually started my love for make up. I love all the different colors and how lipstick can complete a look! Here I go! 
1) How many lipsticks do you own?  I just pulled out my lipstick drawer and counted that I own 22 lipsticks! I didn't count any glosses or lipliners or anything like that. I actually thought I had more than this so I'm pleasantly surprised! 
2) What was your first lipstick?  My first high end lipstick was Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Infrared. It is a beautiful matte red however it really dries out my lips.  I don't remember my first drugstore lipstick but if I had to guess it probably was one of my Rimmel ones!
3) What is your most worn lipstick?  Definitely my Rimmel Moisture Renew in Nude Delight. This is my "go to" every day make up. My most worn red lipstick is MAC's Russian Red. It is a perfect blue tone red that lasts forever. 
4) What is your favorite brand of lipstick?  Rimmel. especially the Kate Moss line. I own at least 9 Rimmel lipsticks and 7 of them are definitely the Kate Moss line. I adore the smell of them. I know weird but they smell like cherry candy. Also the finish is awesome and they last forever. 
5) What is your favorite finish?  I love matte finishes. I am not a huge fan of shiny lips so I prefer how matte lips look. Matte lips just remind so much of the 60s and pearls. I'm weird I know. I also really like MAC's amplified finish.
6) What is the last lip product you bought? I think the last lip product I bought was a Blistex Chapstick. My lips have been so chapped lately. I think it is because of the weather changes. It works really well on my chapped lips! 
7) How many lip products (everything) do you current have in your handbag? I currently have three. I have an EOS and a baby lips. Also I tend to throw in whatever lipstick I am wearing that day and take it back out at the end of the night. Today, I wore Rimmel Kate Moss in 09 so that is in my bag too! 
8) What lip products do you use to rock a red lip?  I always make sure that my lips are super moisturized! I hate when red lips start looking chappy. I think it can look cheap and no one wants that! I also try to use a liner to make it last long but I don't always do this because I tend to forget!    9) How do you store your lipsticks?  I have them laying down in a drawer in my make up shelf thingy. I have them in the same drawer as my mascaras and eyeliners. I have cute little dividers in between them that I got at TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx has great storage options! 
10) What lip products are you currently lusting after?  I really really really want to get my hands on the new Mr. Rescue Baby Lips! They seems perfect for the colder winter months. Also the new Rihanna line from MAC looks amazing! I really need to get to a MAC counter and swatch the colors!

Top Three Lipsticks

I hope you've all been having a good September! This month has been so busy for me between school, work and just getting back into the flow of things. I've finally got a little time for myself so I've decided to making myself a cup of tea and do a little blogging. Today, I am going to show you my top three lipsticks of basically all time. These are the ones I reach for the most. They are Russian Red by MAC, Rose by Hourglass and Nude Delight by Rimmel.

Russian Red by MAC: Russian Red is a classic. There is really no other way to put it. It is that perfect red for a dramatic lip look. It is well loved in the blogger world and it is easy to see why! First of all the texture is creamy and thick which makes one coat more than enough for full coverage. Also it isn't drying at all and lasts for a good 4 hours and through a few drinks. It says that it a matte lipstick however I think it has a little bit of a shine to it but it is actually the perfect amount of shine. The color is perfect because it is a deep red with blue undertones that makes your teeth look super white. You can buy at any MAC counter or store for 15 dollars. It is a great red for anyone looking for a first red or to expand their red collection. 

Rose by Hourglass: Rose is the newest one out of three. I was in Sephora one day and I swatched some of the liquid lipsticks. I went home that night showered, cooked and did all my normal things and then noticed that the liquid lipstick swatches still looked amazing. I was so impressed that I went back the next day and bought this one and let me tell you the long wear is amazing. This is a great lipstick for those days that you know you're going to be out all day because you can put it on in the morning and leave the lipstick at home. I have worn it for 8 hours, had 2 cups of coffee, eat lunch and went to three classes and it still looked just like how it looked when I first put it on. The color is great too. It is a pretty rosy pink color that works for everyday wear or for nights out. It also dries matte! The only two downsides are that it can get a bit drying so make sure to apply Chapstick before you use it and that it is 28 dollars. Honestly though, I do think it is worth every single cent I spent on it. 

Nude Delight by Rimmel: Last but not least is my "go to" everyday lipstick Nude Delight by Rimmel. We all know my love for Rimmel; it is my favorite drugstore brand. This lipstick is a very nice nude color with a hint of shimmer. I've been wearing it on an everyday bases just because its subtle but still gives good color and lasts for about 5 hours without retouches. It does on like butter and feels like moisturizing to the lips. You can't go wrong with this color! It looks great on everyone. You can get this lipstick as any drugstore for around 5 dollars.

DiorShow Iconic Overcurl in Black

Hi Guys! 
I can not believe that August and summer is already over! I start my fall semester so I've been so busy and I think that's so crazy and unbelievable. This last month I have had quite a few favorites. Some of them are new while others are ones I've been using for a while. I hope you enjoy! Also thank you so much for the 75 GFC followers, it means so much to me that people actually enjoy reading my blog! 

First is the NARS Duo in Laguna and Orgasm. I have an entire post about it that you can read here. Laguna is a great contouring bronzer, I love using a setting brush and it looks so natural. Orgasm is a beautiful pinky peach color that gives a perfect glow to everyone. Next is Suave Max Hold Hairspray which I have been using for years. I adore it because it works amazing and is under $3! August has been a very humid month and this hairspray has been my savior. Third is TAZO green tea. I love all types of tea but I have been addicted to this one this month. It has a little bit of a mint taste to it which is so refreshing. I highly recommend it.  I have had a few eye make up favorites this month. First is my complete MAC quad. I did a post of it which you can read here. I love all the colors in it and I use them almost everyday. The colors I have Naked Lunch, Woodwinked, Coppering and Club. Naked Lunch and Woodwinked are perfect everyday natural colors. Next are the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows. These are slowly becoming a new obsession of mine. I own three in Golden Emerald, Glistering Garnet, and Iced Latte. They are so pigmented and come in amazing colors. Lastly, my Diorshow Overcurl Mascara and oh boy is this mascara amazing. I did a whole post on it here. You don't need to use a lash curler because this mascara is so intense. It also has never smudged or ran on me. I love it!

My First Complete Mac Palette

Hi Guys!  So I recently completed my first MAC palette! This is so exciting just because I feel like MAC does some of the best eyeshadows and has such a wide range of colors. I started with the quad because I wanted a few good basic everyday colors before I started a big palette and I wanted to see if I liked the eyeshadows enough to start a big one. I actually will buy a big palette next paycheck and start that soon! I hope you like my little quad!
Woodwinked: This color is a beautiful warm gold color with a bit of shimmer in it. It is probably my favorite color that I own. It looks great in the crease or all over the lid and I love pairing it with Naked Lunch. 
Naked Lunch: This color is a creamy champagne color with a bit of soft pink hints to it. I love wearing this an inner corner highlight or over over my lid with Woodwinked in the crease.     Coppering: This is my little bit of fun color. Coppering is a shimmery copper with red tones color. I love the red tones because it really makes my brown eyes pop and I like to wear in the crease.
Club: This is my newest MAC shadow and the darkest one I own. It is a such an interesting color because it changes. I never really know how to describe it but it is a brown/tealish/green color. It looks lovely in the crease and adds a little pop to a smokey eye.
