Empties #1

Hi Guys!
Today I'm going to do my first empties post! I've been trying to do one of these for a while now but I always ended up forgetting and throwing empty products out. This month I've had a lot of empties and I managed to remember to keep them! I'm going to explain what the product claims to do, whether or not I thought it accomplished it/liked it and if I'm going to repurchase it. I hope you guys enjoy!

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Cleanser
Claims: This Cleanser claims to cleanse to purify pores with real fruit extracts. I got this in a set around March. It came with two washes and oil blotting clothes.
Reaction: I don't think this was anything special about this cleanser. It left my skin feeling clean but that's about it. It does smell good though.
Repurchase:  I am definitely going to finish the other wash in this set however, I will not be repurchases it after because it is an okay cleanser but there are better ones out there.

Neutrogena Oil Free Cleansing Wipes
Claim: These wipes claim to sweep away pore clogging dirt and oils in one simple step with the use of 100% naturally derived pink grapefruit extract. Claims to have no greasy residue, so no need to rinse your face after.
Reaction: Oh my gosh, these smell amazing! Anything grapefruit flavored or scented draws me in. These actually work really well at removing dirt however, they do leave a residue. It isn't a greasy one; it is more of a sticky heavy feeling. I always wash my face after or use a toner.
Repurchase: I will not be repurchasing these. I like my other wipes much better ( Simple make up wipes and Pacifica Coconut Water wipes) and they are cheaper as well.

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub
Claim: This scrubs claims to leave your skin feeling smooth, soft and refreshed. You can use this on the body or the face however, I only use it on my face.
Reaction: This is my favorite scrub at the moment. My skin feels baby soft after using this and it does a great job cleaning out my pores. My full review on it can be found HERE .
Repurchase: YES! I am in love with this and I'm going to buy the big bottle of this next time I am in LUSH.

Fair Trade Honey Shampoo
Claim: This shampoo claims to give lustre, volume and moisturize using full of the power of flowers and honey.
Reaction: I love the smell if this, I find honey smells so yummy! This also made my hair really soft and shiny which I love and it weighted my hair down a good amount which is what I want because my hair gets huge. I also think it is great that this bottle is made from recycled plastic.
Repurchase: Yes, I will be repurchasing it but just not right now. I have a few other shampoos I want to try out but I know I will go back to it because it has become one of my all time favorite shampoos.

Rapid Action Pads
Claim: This claims to visibly reduce pimple size and redness in as little as 4 hours.
Reaction: These pads completely dried out my skin. They are super harsh and an extremely strong medicine smell to them that just wasn't pleasant to use. They might work better with someone who has oily skin or a lot of redness but for me, it was just very drying.
Repurchase: No, I will not be buying these again.

Dry Shampoo
Claim: This claims to instantly refresh your hair by getting rid of oily roots, boost volume and leave your hair feeling clean.
Reaction: I really like this product but not for what it is actually suppose to do. I have really curly hair so wearing my hair second day down doesn't really happen. I use this to dirty up my roots a little bit to make it easier to wear half up and half down in second day hair. It is also really good at getting rid of extra shininess that hairspray can give my hair.
Repurchase: Yes, I will be buying this again. I have this right now in a travel size but I will be getting it in a full bottle soon.

Touch of Sparkle Body Wash
Claim: This body wash claims to  gently cleanse skin while leaving it moisturized after the shower.
Reaction: I thought this was a great wash. It left my skin feels nice and it smells lovely. It did the job it is meant to do really well and was only like 3 dollars.
Repurchase: Yes, Ive actually already rebought it!

What have you finished lately?

The Skincare Tag

Hi Guys!

I hope you all have been having a good week! In exactly a week, I am going to California for Vidcon and I am so excited. I can't wait to share pictures, outfits and make up looks with you from there! Today, I was lucky enough to be tagged in the Skincare Tag by the lovely Sophie from That's What Sophie Said. Be sure to check out her blog she has amazing posts and beautiful pictures. Here are the questions!

1. Describe your skincare routine in five words.
  Perfect for a lazy girl

2.What's your skin type?
My skin is pretty normal expect in the summer the area around my nose and chin get oily over night so I have to make sure to really wash my face at night and in the morning or else I end up with acne in those area.

3.What's your favorite skincare product?
Over the last few months, I have really been enjoying the LUSH Ocean Salt Scrub. It is meant for face and body but I only use it on my face. My skin feels so soft after and it does an amazing job cleaning out all of my pores. I did a full review on it HERE
Ocean Salt Scrub

4. Top blemish zapper?
I love Benefit's Boo Boo Zap. It is great for those little spots that sneak up on you. It immediately reduces the redness and size of a pimple. Also it doesn't leave any weird smell or residue so it is great for on the go! I keep it in my purse so it is always by me if I need it.

5. Face wipes...yay or nay?
I know a lot of people who don't use make up wipes because they aren't really good for your skin and aren't as affective as cleansing waters however, I am extremely lazy and when I come home from being out spending 20 minutes removing my make up is not something I like to do so using a make up wipe is my savor. I really like the Simple make up wipes and Pacifica coconut water wipes. Both of these are really gentle on the skin and remove all my make up. The Pacifica ones also smell really good and are all natural.

6.Toner...yay or nay?
Toner is a heck yay for me! I adore my LUSH  Eau Roma Water. I apply it after I wash my face or use a make up wipe. I spray it on and wipe it with a cotton ball or pad after. It makes sure that all of my make up is completely off and it leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and hydrated. Also it has rose and lavender in it that are a really comforting smell.

7. High end skincare or High end make up?
I'm going to have to say high end make up just because I own so much more of it. I think because I have pretty normal skin ( knock on wood), I am able to get away with drugstore skincare and LUSH. Also I go through skincare so fast that spending large amount of money seems like a waste.

8. You're in a French pharmacy and can only buy one item, what would it be?
It would 150% percent be Bioderma. The only way to get Bioderma in the states is online which is so frustrating because maybe if I used Bioderma, I would stop using my make up wipes as much. So many  people talk about how amazing it is, I wish I could try it out.

9. Top skincare tip?
I have friends who always buy different face washes when they run out of the one they are currently using. My top advice is to find a good face wash and stick with it. When it comes to face wash, it is all about consistency. Changing which one you use every three weeks isn't going to help your skin get better. It is so important to keep using the same products because they work better the longer you use them. I know its frustrating if you don't see results right away but I would give it at least two bottle before switching it. I love the Neutrogena GrapeFruit Wash. It smells amazing and really helped my skin.

I hope you guys enjoyed this! For this, I tag:

FOTD: July 20th 2013

Hi Guys!

This is my make up look from last night. I really wanted to share this with you because I used Coppering by Mac and even though it is a beautiful color, it can be kind of hard to wear so I thought I'd share how I wear it!

Products I used:
Bare Minerals Party Time Primer
Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
Benefit Boi-ing Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder
Nars Duo in Laguna and Orgasm
Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze
Mac Eyeshadow in Coppering
Benfit Magic Ink in Black
Benefit They're Real!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in # 17

I started of by priming my face with Bare Minerals Party Time Primer. I apply this with my fingers all over my face. Next I use my Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Toasted Beige. I apply this with a damp beauty blender and make sure I blend it in really well. I use two concealer: Rimmel Wake Me Up in Classic Beige underneath my eyes and Benefit Boi-ing in #3 on any spots I have on my face. I am weird and use a foundation brush to blend my concealers in just because I feel like concealer brushes are too small and I never actually use my foundation brushes for foundation. Next I apply my Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder with a kabuki brush all over my face. Following that, I apply my NARS bronzer in Laguna all over my face with a full face brush by Bare Minerals. This gives a really natural all over bronze color. Using my SOHO blush brush, I apply my NARS blush in Orgasm to my cheeks; a little goes a long way with this product. I don't like eyeshadow primers so instead I use my Maybelline 24 hour Color Tattoo cream shadow in Bad to the Bronze. I use my finger tip for this and blend it all over my lid. Next I take a big eyeshadow brush by SOHO and apply Coppering by Mac all over my lid and into my crease. Then taking a blending brush, I think I used my ELF one, I blend the color up into my brow bone. Following that, I take an angled brush with Coppering on it and apply it to my lower lash line. Using my finger tip, I take Bad to the Bronzer again and apply it into the inner corner of my eye. I then use my Benefit Magic Ink liquid liner and make a "winged" look with my top liner. I adore how dark this liquid liner is. For my lashes, I used my all time favorite They're Real! by Benefit. It is such an amazing mascara for lots of length. Lastly, I use my Kate Moss lipstick in number 17 from Rimmel on my lips.

How do you wearing Copper colored shadows?

OOTD: July 18th 20133

Hi Guys!
I hope you've all been having a good week! I started my summer class this week and I've been working so much. I haven't worm anything cute in so long because I wear tees and shorts to work and my hair is in a bun all the time. However, for class on Thursday I decided to dress up a little bit! Here is my outfit.

What I'm wearing:

Top: My top is from H&M and I got it on sale for 5 dollars! Yes, 5 dollars! It is a long white tank top with sheer little flower designs on it. Also it has a cute gold zipper down the top part of the back.

Bandeau: My bandeau is from American Eagle and I got it last summer for $12.95. My favorite thing about American Eagle bandeaus is that they are true to size so even if you are bustier, you can find one that fits.

Shorts: These shorts are new and I got them from Cotton On. They were $24.99 which isn't too bad! They are high waisted and I just really love the color!

Jewelry: Just like always, all of my jewelry is from Francesca's. I can not begin to explain how much I adore the jewelry there!

Lipstick: This is a new edition to my lipstick collection. It is Impassioned by Mac and I got it for $15.00. I love it! It lasts forever and I just think the color is such a happy summery pink

What have you been wearing this summer?

Rimmel Apocalips/Show Off Review

Hi Guys!

Today, I am going to review what I think is the most hyped up drugstore product of the summer. Yes, I am talking about the Rimmel Apocalips or "Show Off" as they are called in the States. Personally I think Apocalips sounds a lot better than Show Off. Everyone from FleurDeForce to Zoella to every other British blogger were raving about these "lip lacquers" and for the American readers, it was just unfair that we couldn't get them. These little babies finally came out in the states about three weeks ago and oh boy, they went go fast. They are exclusive to Walgreens at this moment and are sold for $4.99 each.I couldn't just get one so I got four! I picked up three on a little Walgreens haul (read here) and then another one when I went back a week later. I own Nova, Big Bang, Celestial and Aurora

Left to Right: Big Bang, Aurora, Nova, Celestial

Packaging: Chic and Sleek are the best way to describe the packaging of these lip lacquers. It is a graphic black packaging with a clear end so you can see the color in the tube. It's a very unique design that looks extremely high end. The applicator is great too! It has a little pocket in it that allows you to pick up a lot of product at once.

Color:

Big Bang: This is a classic bright red with blue undertones. It reminds me a lot of "Old Hollywood" and Marilyn Monroe.

Aurora: Aurora is a deep pink. A lot of people say it's red but I really see a lot more of a warm pink than red.

Nova: This color just screams Barbie. It is a bright pinky mauve color.

Celestial: This is the lightest color I got and I think it is a pretty rosy pink that looks nice on everyone and is good for everyday wear.

Formula: The formula of these lip lacquers is my favorite thing about them. They are so creamy and  buildable. They go on super easy and are very opaque. I would use a lip balm underneath of these because they can be drying but with a little balm you should be fine! Only thing is the darks colors like Big Bang tend to transfer a bit so I would give them a bit of time to set and use a lip liner with darker colors.

Pigment: These are crazy pigmented! There is absolutely nothing sheer about them and they last for a good 3 or 4 hours without any need of touch up.

Finish: A lot of reviews say that they have a matte finish personally, I don't think they dry matte. To me, they have a satin finish to them which is very lovely.

Overall, these are a time saver since you don't need gloss after and look amazing! They last for a really long time and are only $4.99!
Have you tried the Apocalips? What did you think?

Lush: Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub Review

Hi Guys!

Slowly but surely, another Lush product is becoming a Holy Grail product of mine. First the lip scrub then the honey shampoo and now the Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub. I only use it a face scrub but I'm sure it would be awesome as a body scrub too. It is available in two sizes and I have the smaller of the two but I'm positive I will get the bigger one next time. This scrub contains coarse and fine sea salt, lime juice, avocado butter and vodka. Yes, you read correctly, I did just say vodka. Some how these ingredients mixed together make up the best face scrub I've ever used. It is able at Lush for $21.95 for the smaller size.

This is definitely a very coarse scrub. If you have super sensitive skin, I would recommend getting a sample and trying out first. I use it about three times a week on days that my skin just feels really greasy or on days I've been in the pool and in the sun all day. I wouldn't use it on an everyday use just because it is a very strong scrub and might dry your skin out a bit if used everyday. I swear my skin feels like heaven after I use it! It cleans out all my pores and takes off the dead layer of skin and leaves me with a fresh smooth new layer of skin. Also It smells just like the beach. Think of the beach right now and how it smells and that's exactly how this scrub smells. It is bright blue and very coarse however, the longer you have it the lighter blue it gets. That's why mine isn't bright blue anymore. Only down side is that you need to be careful to avoid your mouth because it has a salty taste to it.

Overall, this is a great scrub and I would highly recommend it to anyone! Especially in the summer if you want to really exfoliate your skin.

What's your favorite Lush product?

NARS Duo: Laguna and Orgasm Review

Hi Guys!

So I am probably the last blogger in the world to hop on to the amazing band wagon of NARS products but better late than never! This is a NARS Duo with a Laguna bronzer and an Orgasm blush. I got it at Sephora for 41 dollars. I've heard really good things about both products and I didn't want to buy the big one of each for $32 dollar so I decided with the duo to start with. Honestly I'm glad I got the duo because its great for travel

(Top: Laguna, Bottom: Orgasm)

Packaging: I love how the NARS packaging looks. It looks really expensive (which it is) and sleek. Also I love how large the mirror in it is. However, the rubberish material attracts all the dirt in the world. I keep it in a separate zipper section in my purse when I travel because I hate how dirty it gets but I can get over this issue because of how wonderful the product is.

Laguna Bronzer:

Color: Laguna looks a lot more intense in the pan than it really it. It is a very natural bronze color. You can't really see in the pan but in the swatch you can see that it has some nice shimmer to it but it isn't overwhelmingly shimmer.

Formula: The formula of Laguna is probably my favorite thing about it. It goes on so smoothly and easily. It blends really is and never leaves your face looking muddy or heavy.

Pigment: The pigment of this bronzer isn't the greatest but because it's so buildable it works out fine. I like this more for an all over the face bronze look but if you're looking for a contouring bronzer, there are better ones out there.

Finish: I am actually in love with the finish of this. It gives you a healthy glow that isn't shiny. I use it all over my face after putting on my Benefit Hello Flawless foundation but before my Rimmel Stay Matte powder. You can still see the glow through the powder and it just looks so nice!

Orgasm Blush:

Color: Orgasm is a beautiful subtle pinky peach color with gold shimmers in it. The gold shimmer aren't overwhelming and give your cheeks a nice happy glowy look. They aren't chunky which is amazing because I hate blushes and bronzer with huge chunks of shimmer in them that just looks cheap.

Formula: The blush formula is very similar to the bronzer. It is smooth and blendable which is amazing! I love when you don't have to fight with the product to get it to go on your face.

Pigment: The pigment of Orgasm is amazing. I honestly only need one swipe across my cheek and that's it! It is more on the sheer side of the spectrum but I think it looks so much better sheer than when you try to build it up.

Finish: Orgasm gives you a very natural looking cheek with a hint of shimmer. I think it is especially lovely for summer time when you want to look sun kissed.

Overall, I think they are both great and I can see why they are beauty blogger cult products!

Have you tried them out? What did you think?

One Direction Concert

Hi Guys!

As some of you may know, I am a huge One Direction fan. Yes, I am 19 years old but I can not help it but think they are absolutely adorable and amazing. Because of this, when one of my little sister's friends was selling two tickets, I had to buy them! On June 6th 2013, I saw One Direction in Hershey Park Stadium and it was one of the best nights of my life.

First off, there were two adorable little kids, probably around 5 and 7, next to my friend Emmy and me and they kept singing every song and I honestly could've fainted of cuteness right there and then. There were 30,000 people at this concert. Yes, you read that correctly 30,000!! I've never been to a concert so big but it still felt like I was right in the front. The guys sounded amazing and they were so funny. Liam  wore a snapback and let me tell you he looked very very attractive. Also Niall played the guitar at one point to Little Things and it was so cute! Louis is so witty and Harry put on a flower crown that a fan throw on stage. Lastly, Zayn hit some crazy high notes!

They closed the show with WMYB and Over Again was my favorite song that they sang. It was the most fun and energetic concert I've ever been to! Also the opening band, 5 Seconds of Summer, was really good. They reminded me a lot of bands like All Time Low and Mayday Parade. If you get the chance to see them in concert, you should take it! Even if you aren't a fan of them, their concerts are one of a kind. The only downside was the two hour traffic leaving Hershey but I guess thats expected with 30,000 people there.

Here are the few pictures that I took at the concert:

Let me know what you think of these more lifestyle posts! Also have you seen them in concert?!

Walgreens Haul

Hi Guys!

So as you probably might have heard the Rimmel Apocalips have finally come out in the States! However, here they are called Show Off, I'm not really sure why they changed the name but regardless I'm so excited that they are here. They are exclusive to Walgreens as off right now and part of me is really glad because I don't normally go into Walgreens ( much more of a CVS and Target girl) but I honestly think it is my new favorite store for drugstore make up. I really loved how it is laid out especially the make up section. It has a huge aisle along the wall with stands with new products around it. Everything I needed was right there and so easy to find. Okay now that I'm done rambling about Walgreens, here are the products I picked up while I was there!

Simple Eye Make Up Remover: ( $2.49) I bought the travel size of the Simple Eye Make Up Remover just to test it out. I love getting travel sized things for that reason because they are cheap and if I don't like it I'm not stick with a big bottle of a product. I love make up wipes. They are fast and easy but they aren't great for your eyes and skin so I've been looking for a new eye make up remover. Since I love the Simple face wipes I figured there is a good chance I'll like their eye make up remover! I'll let you know how this goes.

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser: ($ 7.99) This is my Holy Grail of face washes. I have been using this for almost a year now and I adore it. It leaves my skin feeling nice and fresh. It also isn't drying and it wakes me up in the morning. However, my favorite thing about this wash is how it smells.   It smells of sweet fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Anything grapefruit scented is probably a favorite of mine. I just think it smells nice, isn't overwhelming and is a refreshing smell.

Maybelinne Baby Lips Electro: ($ 3.99) This is Maybelline's new line of Baby Lips is crazy neon colors. There is six of them but I only bought the 85 Oh Orange! to try it out and if you couldn't guess by the name it smells just like oranges. I'm not sure if they are limited edition but either way they are selling fast! They claim to hydrate your lips for up to 8 hours and leave a lovely tint to your lips. I'm really excited to try this one out and I think I'm going to get the Minty Sheer ( bright green color) next if I like this one!

Revlon Lash Potion: ($7.99)  I'm going to be complete honest, I bought this because I love how pretty the packaging is. The colors of the tube reminds me of mermaids and the sea and that just makes me super happy. I got this mascara in Blackest Black. It claims that it will give you "spell binding volume and length." I am a huge fan of Maybelline mascaras and this is the first Revlon one I'm trying in a few years. Hopefully this isn't one of those products that looks pretty but isn't any good.

Rimmel Show Off/Apocalips: ($4.99 each) The only word that comes to mind is FINALLY! Every British youtuber and blogger have raved about how amazing these are and they are finally available in the states. I believe there are 8 colors available right now but I  only picked up three in Aurora, Celestial and Big Bang. I can not wait to wear them and to do a full review on them.

Rimmel Cocktail Colour in a Flash: ($2.49) This is another new Rimmel product in the states. It is Rimmel's line of glittery summer colored nail polishes that are said to dry in less than 60 seconds. I picked up one in 130 Apple Berry Smoothie which is a medium blue with blue metallic shimmer in it. It looks really playful and I think I'm going to put it on my toes for night since it is 4th of July.

Batiste Dry Shampoo: ($3.99) This is another product that I got in a travel size to test out. My hair never really gets greasy or oily since I have so much of it and it is curly. However, it is impossible for me to wear my hair down second day so I bought this to try and figure out a way to get my hair to look okay without having to shower every morning. Wish me luck!

Glamour Magazine: ($3.99) Last but not least, I bought the August 2013 Glamour Magazine. One Direction and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are on the cover! I'm really excited to read this at work especially excited for the 1D interview.

What have you bought lately?
