Summer Face Make up Essentials Mini Hual

Hi Guys!

So today was payday! Woot my favorite type of day because this means I get to treat myself to a few things. I have been waiting for my skin to get to its fullest tan before I went and bought any more skin products. This is because I hate having awkward in between colors/tones and I never know when to use them and often I just forget about them. Also I feel like picking out bronzers and blushes when you're already tan is a lot easier than thinking about which would look good tan. I picked up two items and I am so excited to use them!

( In "warm me up" Toasted Beige)

(Free sample of POREfessional primer)

Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation was calling my name! I like using light/medium coverage foundations in the summer with SPF in them. I work at a pool and I just spend a lot of time outside so SPF is really important and full coverage foundation just makes my skin feel heavy in the summer.  The Hello Flawless foundation has all of this plus so much more. It has SPF 25 in it and is a light foundation that hydrates. It hits all the marks and the box it comes in is very cute (Benefit always has to cutest boxes)! Also it came with a free sample of the POREfessional primer which I am excited to try. I've heard awesome things about this primer so getting a free sample in the box was a great surprise.

(Left: Blush in Orgasm Right: Bronzer in Laguna)

The second item I got was the NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo in Orgasm and Laguna. I am very late on this band wagon but hey better late than never! The NARS Blush is Orgasm and Bronzer in Laguna are two of the most raved about products in the blogging/youtubing world. To be honest, I can not think of one time that someone had something bad to say about this. This has put my expectations really high for this duo and I hope it does not disappoint! I think it is going to look really good on my summer tan!

Have you tried either of this? What did you think?

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hr by Eye Studio Eye Shadows

Hi Guys!
I hope all of you are doing well! Summer is in full swing now and with all the craziness has started. I have been mid moving houses and been cleaning out a lot of things. Doing this, has allowed me to rediscover a lot of make up that I use to love but just haven't used lately. One of these products is the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hr by Eye Studio Eye Shadows. I think I got my first one right when they first came out and I picked up a few more a couple months later. I honestly forgot how awesome they are until a few weeks ago.

Left to Right: Tough as Taupe, Edgy Emerald, Pomegranate Punk

The three I own are in: 35 Tough as Taupe50 Edgy Emerald and 30 Pomegranate Punk. When you look at the in the packaging, they can be a bit scary looking because they are so intense. However, once you actually use them you find out how diverse they are.

Packaging: The packaging of these eye shadows is really cute! It's a glass little pot with a plastic black lid. The black lid has a sticker label with details about the eye shadow on it. The glass pot makes it really easy to see what color you picked up. Only downside is that, they are bit heavy because they are glass so I don't like traveling with them.

Colors: Edgy Emerald is a metallic sea foam green. I also see some hints of teal in it. Tough as Taupe is a matte gray color. When you look at Tough as Taupe as first or throw the glass, it really looks taupe however, once you actually touch it, it comes off a lot darker. Pomegranate Punk is a deep burgundy purple with gold shimmer in it.

Formula: These eyeshadows are definitely cream based eye shadows. They actually remind me a lot of Tarte's Clay liners. They are really easy to apply by brush or finger ( I prefer to use my fingers) and they blend very nicely.

Pigment: In the pot, they appear overly intense and if you want that intense you can get it. They are so buildable it's nuts. 10/10 for pigment.

Finish: These shadows leave a nice smooth finish that doesn't crease. They are also really nice bases for powder shadows if you want to get a lot of pigment out of the powder shadows.

They are said to last 24 hours which they don't however, they do last a good 8 without any retouches. Overall, I love these and I am so happy I have rediscovered them! I can not wait to do a FOTD with them.

Have you tried them? If so, What you think of them?

OOTD and FOTD June 20th 2013

Hi Guys!

So yesterday I had one of my best friend's graduation. She is the last one of all my good friends to graduate high school and it's so weird! She is always been like our baby girl and now she is a graduate! Time flies by so fast, its crazy. Here is my outfit and make up for graduation.

My outfit:
Top: Blue Sky
Skirt: Forever 21
Wedges: TJ Maxx
All Jewelry: Francesca's

This Top was in a haul I did last month and I could not wait to wear it. However, it took my a while to find the perfect time to wear this beautiful lacy light blue top. I decided to pair it with my gray skirt from Forever 21 because I liked how the top looked on a gray bottom better than on a black bottom. The wedges were a gift from my mom when I went away to University last fall and they are just so cute and summery. For jewelry, Francesca's is the way to go. They always have great options and all of their jewelry is just so cute! I honestly don't think I've gotten jewelry from anywhere else in a long time.

On my Face:
Prime Time Foundation Primer by Bare Minerals
Wake Me Up Concealer in Classic Beige by Rimmel
Fit Me Foundation in 245 by Maybelline

Review: Tarte Beauty and the Box (Secret Garden)

Hi Guys!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I am in between moving houses and with work I have been really busy but don't worry I am back on top of my blogging game! Today I decided to review an eyeshadow quad that I have really been enjoying this summer : Tarte Beauty and the Box in Secret Garden. It has four beautiful colors : Sprout, Goldenrod, Fern and Vine. It has been in my everyday make up for about a few weeks now and it is lovely. Tarte has really been growing on me the past few months! I have been loving that they are natural and still such amazing quality.

Lets talk about the packaging! All of Tarte's Beauty and the Box eyeshadows come in these cute little square boxes with patterns on them. The Secret Garden one is a light purple with a giant purple, pink and white flower on it. There packaging is made out of cardboard and I know a lot of people freak out over cardboard boxing but I've had mine for over a month and it is still going strong. It is also part of their ego friendly, natural vibe which I think is great! All four colors are right next to each other on the box but that doesn't bother me because each color is wide enough for a brush to fit perfectly.

The Colors! The four colors in this are: Sprout, Goldenrod, Fern and Vine. It is a green and gold set of colors and I think they do an amazing job enhancing brown eyes! The first thing I thought of when I saw these colors was Ivy from Batman. She always wore golds and greens and Uma Thurman as Ivy looked amazing! The pigment of these colors is nice. It isn't as amazing but it isn't bad either. It can take a little bit of building however their lasting power makes up for it. They actually last me all day long and never seem to crease. I'm not much of an eyeshadow primer person because I've never had a creasing problem and putting on two primers just seems like too much work for me ( I'm lazy). Fern is my favorite out of the four. I just think it's the perfect green for shadows.

The next one I really want is the Envoke the Smoke which looks like a great quad for a nice smokey purple eye!

Have you tried any of Tarte's Beauty and the Box? If so,which one your favorite?

A little bit of a Target Haul

Hi Guys!
I hope you've all been well! I recently took a trip to Target and everyone knows you can not go to Target without buying something! I picked up a few "day to day " things and well as some things just for fun. Here they are!

1. Two Suave Max Hold Hairspray
2. Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo
3. Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Mask
4. Vinalla Bean Creme Brûlée Coffee Cups
5. Two Black Baskets

Suave Hairspray: $2.19

I've been using this hairspray for about 4 years now. I know a very long time but I love it. I have tried using another hairsprays but they are always more expensive and never do as good of a job. I love how this is unscented and doesn't leave my hair feeling hard. It does a great job holding my curls in place and keeping it from frizzing! And its $2.19, who can say no to that?!

Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo: $2.99

Since I have super curly hair, I tend to use a lot of hair products like oils and leave in conditioners and so on. Sometimes even after I shower, my hair can feel kind of grease. Because of this, I like to wash my hair about once a week with a Pure Clean Shampoo. This insurance that I get all if the "stuff" off my hair. I started using this one because Ingrid on Youtube always talked about it and it is very nice and smells great!

Organix Hydrating Macadamia oil Mask: $5.74

This is a new product I decided to try. I was really impressed with some Organix products in May (they were in my May Favorites) because of this when I went to look for a deep conditioner for those days that the sun and pool get the best of my hair, I could help and pick this one up! I look forward to try it out and reviewing it!

Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée Coffee Cups: $11.99

This is my current favorite K Cup flavor! For some reason though, I couldn't find it on the Target website and that's why the price isn't linked up to it. This coffee is so delicious. It is a light roast so if you're really into deep coffee flavor this isn't for you. However, if you prefer something lighter and sweet, this is perfect! I love how this makes my kitchen smell. It has a really sweet happy smell to it ( happy smell? I make no sense).

Two Black Baskets: $2.09 ( on sale)
I already own two or three of these and I store make up in these! I like keep all my make up organized in these besides the ones I use everyday. These are great because you can easily see everything in them and they fit in just about every drawer you can have! I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a new way to organize your make up!
What have you bought lately? What's your favorite way to store make up?

New Obsession: Studded Bags

Hi guys!

Do you ever suddenly notice that you have been drawn to a specific brand, style, or color out of nowhere? Yeah, well that's me with studded bags! I was in Target today when I saw a very cute studded clutch and I was about to by it when I realized that I already have a studded purse and a studded clutch/ little bag. Then I remembered that I also ordered a black studded bag online the other day! It is slowly but surely becoming a new obsession of mine ( like lipsticks or Benefit products!) Because of this, I thought it would be a nice idea to share with you the two studded bags I already own.

Miztique clutch with a gold chain strap
Call It Spring shoulder bag

This is my Miztique clutch with a gold chain from TJ Maxx. It is a cognac/ brass color with gold studs on it. I got it for about twenty dollars which I thought was a total steal! I was looking for a little bag to bring to the city with me for my cousin's concert and when I saw it I knew it was perfect. The first thing that I really like about it is that it has the gold chain strap. I love clutches but I often get tired of carrying them around so being able to throw it over my shoulder is great! Also, I was able to fit a surprisingly large amount of things into! I fit a slim wallet, keys, a mini mascara, a lipstick, a blush, a mirror, mints and my ticket in here without any problem. Normally, my clutches are never big enough inside to hold all my things. Overall, for twenty dollar it was a great buy and I will definitely get my use out of it.

This is my Call It Spring shoulder bag from Call It Spring. It is white with gold studs on it and was thirty five dollars ( It was on sale originally forty eight). This bag is my new everyday bag. My Desigual bag ripped (got stuck on my safety break and the handle ripped when I grabbed it) and while it is getting fixed, I figured I could use a new bag for the summer since my Desigual bag is a lot more wintery. I am in love with this bag! My favorite thing is probably how many pockets it has and that all three on the outside work. I hate when purses have outside pockets that aren't really pockets just decorative zippers. I am huge on organizing and having so many pockets allows me to keep everything where I want it. Also the striped inside is really cute! It is a great bag for the summer and holds so many things.

What's are you currently obsessing over? What are your thoughts on studs?
