Bad Gal Lash Mascara Review
Hi Guys!
So today I decided to review my new Bad Gal Lash Mascara by Benefit. Let me start of by saying I love Benefit products. I am always drawn to them because they come in the cutest boxes in such bright pretty colors. And let's be real, who doesn't love a pretty colored box?!
I was really apprehensive to try the Bad Gal Lash Mascara, just because I am in love with Benefit's They're Real! Mascara and I didn't want to either be very disappointed in the Bad Gal Lash or to love it more than my They're Real! one.
Because of that, I decided I wasn't willing to spend 22 dollars on a full tube so I bought the sample one for 10 dollars at Sephora. I love how Sephora sells sample sizes because I am one of those girls who likes trying the product out before buying a full thing of it.
It came in a cute little black and pink box thats says " A Little Bit" Bad Gal Lash, which I thought was really clever since it is a sample size!
The actual tube is a black base with a silver top with white and pink writing on it.
The wand is natural bristles. I prefer plastic bristles because I feel like they give me more length (aka They're Real!) and when it comes to eye lashes, I am all about length! However, I do use Dior Black Out which is bristles and I love my Black Out so I still had hope for Bad Gal.
I wore this Mascara a few times now; once to my All Time Low concert, to class one day, and out to lunch. I do like it but I don't love it. I think it is more of a day time event kind of mascara. It gives me great volume but it doesn't lengthen as much as my They're Real! or Black Out. I would wear this to a lunch date or a class presentation but going out at night I'd prefer one of my other mascaras. Saying this, I don't really think I would ever spend 22 dollars on a day time mascara. It does look better than my drugstore mascara but I still think 22 dollars is a lot of money. I would rather buy another They're Real! or try a different Dior one with that money.

Curly Hair Problems #1
First thing first, Shampoo and Conditioner:
I've found that the best type of shampoo and conditioner for curly hair is not the ones "especially" made for curly hair but the ones that specialize in frizz control, shine and hydration. Curly hair splits a lot more than any other hair type so hydration is super important. Also, no one wants frizzy hair but frizz and curls go hand by hand so frizz control is a major plus in shampoo and conditioner. Warning: STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING VOLUMIZING!! Volume shampoo and conditioner tend to create curly hair afros.

All Time Favorite: Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine
This stuff works magic! You can actually feel your hair get smoother as you apply it and it smells so nice. It has Argan oil and apricots in it that control the frizz. Side Note: Anything Argan oil is awesome for curly hair! The price is not bad either and it can be found at just about any drug store. I got mine at Wal Mart for $6.97 each and it has lasted me about a month now. I'm expecting at least another 2 weeks out of them. It's also awesome in the summer because it resists humidity. Basically you can not go wrong with this combo! I would recommend this even for people who don't have curly hair. they are just overall amazing.
Try them out and let me know what you think!

Curly Hair Problems
I have come to the conclusion that we live in a straight/wavy hair world. This leaves us curly headed girls out on our own.
Hair dressers only really know how to cut straight or wavy hair and when they cut curly hair, they do so with the assumption that it will be blown out straight everyday. I once had a hair dress suggest giving me bangs straight across my forehead... I can only imagine how funny I would look with them curly and sticking up everywhere.
Hair products are all designed to either help you straighten your hair or enhance your curls. However, if you have curly hair you don't need a product to enhance your curls, you need it to control them. All enhance curls products are actually meant for people with wavy hair who want their waves to look more curly.
I, myself, have extremely curly hair. I rarely straighten it because it takes about two hours and only recently have I gotten into a comfortable place with my hair. I no longer choose to pull my hair up because it is crazy, i choose to embrace it because curly hair is amazing.
Over the years, I have come across products that have turned my hair into an overly shiny poodle and other products that actually have helped control my hair. Since I know I can't be the only curly haired girl out in the world that would've loved to have someone tell me products, styles, and cuts that actually work for curly hair, I've decided to have a series of posts called Curly Hair Problems. In these posts, I will go over products I have used that made my hair look amazing, products I now know to always stay away from and everything else a follow curly hair girl could be looking for! Enjoy xx

Drugstore Haul #1
Over the last week, I've been to a few drugstores and I couldn't leave without picking up a few make up items so here they are!
1) Two Maybelline Color Lip Whisper in 15: Some like it Taupe and in 25: Lush for Blush ($7.49 each at CVS). I am really happy with these two lip colors. They are both really good colors for everyday wear. Also they are very moisturizing ; they feel like a lip balm but last a lot longer than one (Top swatch is #15 and bottom is #25).
2) One Flower Kiss Stick in Sweet Peony ($6.98 at Walmart). I actually never seen the brand Flower before so I decided to give it a chance. It is a very pretty medium pink color that is perfect for spring. It has a nice shine to it but isn't too shiny. However, it does dry your lips out so I had to use a lip balm underneath it and apply a few layers of balm later on. I like it but it is not one of my favorite lipsticks (I have a strong love for Rimmel lipsticks).
3) One Rimmel London Hide the Blemish Concealer in 103: Soft Honey ($5.19 at Walmart). I am a huge fan of Rimmel products and this one did not disappoint. I am normally not one to buy concealer in a lipstick shape but I really liked the color of this one and it is small and easy to carry in my purse. I have been using it underneath my eyes and on spots; blending it out with a medium sized concealer brush. It does a good job covering up what it needs to cover.
4) One Flower Creme Blush in Win Some/Rouge Some ($7.98 at Walmart). This is another Flower product I bought even though I never heard of the brand. It is a bright pink blush which is very springy. It is extremely pink so I only use a little bit at a time but it blends out very easily. It is not a color I would use for everyday wear but once in a while a pinky cheek is pretty. Overall, I was happy with it and I will probably buy more Flower products in the future.
5) One Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream Kiss (On sale at CVS for $2.50). I adore this lip butter! It smells amazing and is so creamy. It makes your lips feel very soft and is great to have in your purse.
6) One Maybelline The Mega Plush Volum' Express in J400: Blackest Black ($7.49 at CVS). I am one of those girls who loves high end mascara ( my favorites are Benefit's They're Real and Dior's Blackout). However, I feel bad using my high end ones everyday because they are so expensive so this Maybelline mascara has become my everyday wear one! It is an extreme black which is what I love; I have dark features and skin so black is my color pick for mascara. It does amazing volume but I wish it gave me a little more length. For the price I paid for it, it is a really good quality mascara.
